Four people are seated. Nadia met each of them before she vouched for them, and each of them said yes to her invitation. She is considering one introduction.

The charter

Adults in their forties and fifties in and around Port Ellery who want a partner and are done with apps. Nadia proposes introductions one at a time. Both people say yes, or nothing happens.

Both keep unusual hours this autumn: she is up before the gulls, he is on sabbatical. He plays piano if asked twice, and she is someone who would ask twice. Neither wants to be rushed.

Next, she writes to each of them separately. Neither sees the other’s answer. If both say yes, she introduces them; if either says no, she lets it go, and neither learns who said it.

What members see

Nobody at the table sees a list of the others

Late Supper has no member directory, no browse screen and no search for members. A member’s own screen shows their card, the curator, and any proposal addressed to them. Nothing else.

Here is the honest limit. A Pool is a JSON file §3.1, and an unlisted one is unlisted, not private: anyone who holds its address can read who is seated. Every invitation carries that address, because a handshake request must §5.2. So “no list” is a promise about our screens and about how Nadia shares the address, and the protocol does not enforce it. What is in the file is only what each person already published on their own page, and that they are here.

What privacy a Pool has comes from its visibility, never from kindling_noindex, which means “do not include me in any Pool at all” §2.7.
